My name is Alex, and I’m 24-years-old and moving to Los Angeles from Boston. It’s a big life change! Once upon time I lived in Europe and blogged about it until I was too lazy, but I’m trying again. Really, I am. I enjoy consuming food and traveling and posting Instagram pictures of food (I’M THAT GIRL). Also, I think quinoa is weird.
PS. This is a pensive picture of me in a castle in Spain. I’m thinking about how great it’d be to own a castle. Spoiler alert — it would not actually be great.
Yay for your blog, Meng! I’m psyched to follow your culinary adventures!
Yay!
so about quinoa… you can make it in a rice cooker! like it’s rice or something! except with a pleasant granolier-than-thou feeling.
It just has such a weird texture! I can’t get over it. I wonder what I can smother in it to make it more palatable to me.
I secretly hate quinoa. A little bit.
Julie, I think we’re soulmates.
That soup in your banner looks delicious. Also, I love the nod to William Carlos Williams. Have you read Kenneth Koch’s parody of the poem? It’s hilarious: http://www.languagehat.com/archives/001553.php.
Yeah, the Kenneth Koch version is pretty hilarious. I also found another parody of it somewhere that I liked. I can’t remember where.
I wonder if you’re like one of the only people who caught the WCW reference, haha.
